About Us.

Our Story.

Jim Coffey and Susan Spence established SoftCo in 1990 and grew the business into a global leader in Financial Automation Software, with millions of users worldwide. In March 2024, SoftCo was acquired by Keensight Capital, a market leading European growth fund, in one of Ireland’s largest recent technology acquisitions.

We also established Manverton, a personal investment company, supporting unique projects, charitable causes and Sport’s participation.

For over 30 years we have encouraged talented people, particularly Women in Business and young people in Sport. Famously in 2018, the huge underdog Irish Women’s hockey team won a World Cup Silver medal with amazing spirit, sponsored by SoftCo.  In 2018, Hockey struggled to get support. Today all levels of Hockey, both men and women are fully supported, with sponsors on board.  We continue to support the next generation of players.  Manverton supported recent under 21 World Cup campaigns in both Chile and India.

Manverton has also built a large exciting equine portfolio incorporating Racing, Breeding and the development of young thoroughbreds. Manverton works closely with some of the leading industry experts to achieve excellent results and to expand its stock.
